1 dx canon camera ISO Test using the 70-200mm F 2.8 verses 85mm F 1.2 lens

Today I did a comparison on the 1 Dx canon with 2 lenses shooting into the sun creating a hair light behind.

I used the 85mm 1.2 lens for this picture and the sharpness is straight off the camera .

I like the 85mm for fine detail  and i have been waiting for such a long time and I`m very happy ! The crop version is still very nice and has not broken down so canon is right you can go right into these pictures . I have notice that canon has put a lot of effort in the details of the eyes with this camera which i am really impress with.

85mm  F 1.2 lens

1 Dx Canon  setting 1/200- F4 – ISO 400

The next lens I used which is my main one is the 70-200mm 2.8 f and this one gives off a harsh picture but still very nice.

70-200mm 2.8 L lens

1 Dx Canon setting  1/400 speed- F4 – ISO 400

Over all the both lenses are very good !  I do like the 85mm but you must remember this is a portrait lens and the 70-200 f 2.8 is a all round lens. So for studio and portrait and out side i would use both .

This is the 5 Dmark 3 Shot with the 85mm 1.2

This is a very big difference !
